Graphic Organizers:

What type of graphic organizer(s) might the student require in order to visually represent and organize the concepts that relate to this particular topic?

Several graphic organizers were presented in “Obtaining and Organizing Information for the Application,” including the Employment History Worksheet, Application Worksheet, and Application Checklist.  Did the student use these tools to organize his information?  If so, how can he now use them as visual references for completing applications?  Here are the blank forms again:

Additional graphic organizers for this topic include this Short Answer Response worksheet:

As the student continues to progress, these forms can be used to practice completing applications in-part or in-whole (based on the student’s abilities).  Remember to also obtain copies of applications online or in local businesses in your area to support efforts towards generalization:

In addition, the following “quiz” might be appropriate as you address issues related to compensation requests. The first form provides the scenarios to guide conversation during instruction while the answer key includes explanations:

Is there a way to visually or thematically incorporate the student’s interests into this graphic organizer to increase motivation and engagement?

What additional visual clarity cues (e.g. icons, bolding, highlighting, color-coding) might you add to the graphic organizer to clarify concepts and to direct attention to key details?

In order to align this intervention topic area with the unique needs of the student, do you need to create a graphic organizer in the View2do program?
