Video Models:

Can this skill be appropriately depicted in a video model?

Although the entire process would be extremely difficult to portray in a video model, a specific step of the plan (the negotiation process including the use of a script or set of visual instructions or the problem solving process with its script/set of visual instructions) may be recorded when used properly and then reviewed by the student prior to the use of that step of the plan.

As well, a video recording of the student using his visual supports to organize and complete his work in a timely manner may be presented prior to a study hall, prior to the beginning of school to support his performance.

What does the student need to see himself do so that he is more organized in his cooperative performance?

Have you task analyzed this skill to ensure that your video clearly depicts every key step that comprises the skill?

Will you narrate the video?

How will you ensure that the student experiences opportunities to not only review the skill via the video model, but to also engage in repeated rehearsal of the skill across multiple contexts?

Will the student be able to review the video just prior to expected performance of that skill (priming)?
