How can to-do lists be used regarding anger management?
Like schedules, to-do lists provide visual structure and predictability for the student. The to-do list lets the student know what is expected of him and limits the unexpected by clearly answering the four questions: What do I have to do, how much do I have to do, when am I finished, and what do I do next? This predictability can lessen anxiety and frustration, which sometimes lead to anger. Therefore, to-do lists are also a preventative strategy for anger management.
Visual reminders can also be incorporated into the to-do list, such as “Do deep breathing worksheet if needed”.
