What visual instructions or reminder cues should be accessible to support performance of this social communication skill?
The bullying response plan (see Graphic Organizers) could be modified when complete (and updated as needed) for quick referencing. The most important pieces of the plan can be cut and made into standalone visual cues. Additional reminder cards can help during development of the plan or to summarize the key concepts:
Visual instructions may be used to support the student in performing self-regulation skills (e.g., managing anger, managing anxiety) necessary to cope with bullying and other major stressors. Below is just one example of a coping plan:

As with all strategies, some students will not respond to such techniques as visual imagery, deep breathing, or muscle relaxation exercises. Select and teach the strategy that is most appropriate for the student. The visual instructions such as those below can be laminated and carried to natural environments where the student is likely to experience anger and anxiety:
Finally, consider the visual cues that should be posted within a school or work setting that communicate to all individuals the expectations for appropriate behavior, the “rules” and penalties related to bullying and harassment, the role and expected response of a bystander, etc.
In my design of each visual support, have I considered whether the student may need visual clarity cues (added to the environmental design, communication script or scenario, schedule, graphic organizer, social narrative, and/or video model) to highlight (label) or emphasize key features or concepts?
In order to align this intervention topic area with the unique needs of the student, do you need to create visual instructions and reminder cues in the View2do program?
