Printable Interview Do's and Dont's

It is not appropriate for you to end the interview because that would seem rude.  Usually, you need to wait until the interviewer indicates to you that the interview is ending.  The interviewer probably won’t literally say, "The interview is now over."

You will know that the interview is over when the interviewer says:

  • "I don’t think I have any more questions for you."
  • "If you don’t have any other questions about this job, I think we are finished."
  • "Well, I really appreciate you coming in today."
  • "I think I have learned a lot about you today."
  • "Well, it has been really nice talking with you today."

When the interview is over, there are several important things that you should say and do before you leave:Video
